Founder and Principal
Dan provides clients 30 years of experienced public accounting and financial management knowledge. After graduating from the University of Utah, he joined the firm, Arthur Andersen and Company, in Los Angeles. There, he serviced small businesses while taking additional audit and tax training through the Arthur Anderson college in St. Charles, Illinois.
A few years later, Dan obtained a Masters of business administration from the University of Colorado, Denver. This launched him into a prestigious financial management career holding positions in Fortune 500 firms including Glamis Gold, Ltd., AMOCO, and TENNECO. Starting as an accounting supervisor, Dan’s keen accounting knowledge and strategic insights earned him challenging positions as a corporate controller and finally Chief Financial Officer of a New York Stock Exchange listed company.
In 2001, Dan founded Forbush and Associates to focus on providing start-ups the same expertise available to Fortune 500 companies. At Forbush and Associates, Dan provides contract chief financial officer services, business and financial management consulting, works closely with clients to provide the best information and analysis possible for efficient growth, and supervises staff.
Dan is husband to Renae, whom he met in 1975, the father of four and the grandfather of nine. He is an Eagle Scout and a constant supporter of the Scout movement, where he served in numerous adult leadership roles. He spends much of his spare time (what little he finds) working in the family’s 2,500 square foot vegetable garden. His favorite harvests are tomatoes, peas, and sweet corn. His favorite pastime is family time.
